This is one dog house your pooch probably wouldn’t mind being put in.
A hotel in New York has opened exclusive canine suites, complete with turf-lined courtyards, dog beds, jars stuffed with organic canine treats, pet spa products, a faux fire hydrant, and a ‘Doggy Cam’.
Guests staying in the Dog House suites at the OUT Hotel in in Hell’s Kitchen can also take advantage of canine concierge services such as dog walkers, pet sitters, and grooming services.
Unlike other ‘pet-friendly’ accommodations, OUT is quite happy to let human guests leave well-behaved pets alone in their rooms.
Concerned owners can use the built-in Doggy Cams to monitor their pooch and make sure they’re safe and happy.
A pint-sized pet door means Fido can access the 90-square-foot garden as he pleases and all rooms come with a selection of ‘soft, squeaky, stretchy, bouncy, and fun-filled interactive toys’ so canine guests won’t get bored while home alone.
‘We wanted to create a unique experience for both our guests and their pets, who will have access to both indoor and outdoor spaces when staying in our Dog House Suites, explained Stephen Westman, general manager of The OUT Hotel.
‘We pride ourselves on delivering unique experiences to all of our guests and wanted to go far beyond just ‘pet-friendly’.
To do that, we’ve created specially appointed suites, which offer a private, safely enclosed, outdoor space that is accessible exclusively to them, no leash required. It’s a little oasis for dogs and their people in the midst of Manhattan.’
But it’s not just about the four-legged guests. Human guests staying at OUT will be pleased to hear that Dog House suites come equipped with everything you’d expect from a high-end New York hotel from luxury linen and flat screen televisions to MP3 docking stations and plush robes.
